Shanghai Alleys is a site-specific installation DAS created for the exhibition Urban Adventure, opened at The Inlet in Shanghai on Nov. 26, 2021. The installation is inspired by the laundry hanging out of the windows of Shanghai apartment buildings. By a scale of 1:3, the installation reproduces the everyday scenes in those alleys inside a room, with carpet and felt for apartment façade, paper and paper tape for the laundry, and PVC board and fan for air conditioner.
