The Grand Stage is a site-specific installation created by DAS for Art Field Nanhai Guangdong. In response to the festival’s advocacy of artists’ engaging with local cultural heritage and community life, DAS transforms a parking garage façade into a giant stage with scaffolding and fabric, paying tribute to local opera traditions and also portraying the everyday townscape of the region.
